Descripción
Sumario:The five texts comprising the present book were written in 1974 and constitute thelast work written by architect and humanist Borchers Fernández (b. Chile 1910 - 1975) before his death. Created originally to be read out-loud, in what he called"writings-lectures", these essays were presented in the house of his friend Eduardo Hamuy to a selected group of people. The texts, inspired in his daily experiences in the city ofSantiago and the writings of classic philosophers and authors (Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clzio,Ernst Jünger, Plato, Homer, Thomas Hardy, Spinoza, Victor Hugo amongst others)discover key aspects of his thinking and work. "All the manuscripts are kept in the FondoDocumental Juan Borchers. Archivo de Originales FADEU of the Pontificia UniversidadCatólica de Chile, and were made available by this institution. All the drawings thataccompany the texts are by Juan Borchers. Those of "Hiperpolis" and "J.B" correspond to themanuscripts and are in the determinate position in them. Those of "Isocelia", "Memorial" and"Esta Rana Locucion" are not part of defined texts and were selected and facilitated by Rodrigode la Cruz"--Colophon.
