Description
Summary:United States Premiere The perilous journey of the red admiral and gamma moth from St. Petersburg, Russia to Casablanca, Morocco and back crosses natural, cultural and political barriers, illustrating the difficult mission of these migratory butterflies. Paying special attention to cultural and historical places en route, the film connects the butterfly’s way of life to human life. The butterflies reproduce during their journey and it is by migrating that they manage to hibernate in the warmer regions and spend summer in the cooler regions. As they travel through Europe we recognize a contrast between the migrating butterflies and those that never leave their habitat.
