Notas: | Pt. 1, a collection of engravings made at different times, by various artists, from ancient statues in the Giustiniani gallery, contains 153 plates, including title-page and portrait of the Marchese Vincenzo Giustiniani, dated 1631. Pt. 2, issued later, devoted to a series of imperial portrait busts, bas-reliefs, memorial marbles, stele, pedestals, and other objects of Graeco-Roman art, contains 169 plates, including title-page and 5 portraits of various members of the Giustiniani family. According to Scifoni the plates were reissued some time after 1750. The antiquities themselves now form a part of the Museo Torlonia in Rome, the property of Prince Giulio Torlonia. |
