Sumario: | This doctoral thesis by Luis Bertot Ortega focuses on the theoretical and practical preparation of chess openings during the basic training of young Cuban chess players, particularly in the age group of 11-12 years. The research identifies limitations in the current methodologies used by chess instructors and players, highlighting a need for an integrative and systemic approach to improve opening preparation. The study proposes a new methodology that has been preliminarily validated through expert assessments and practical workshops in Guantánamo. The aim is to enhance the training quality by addressing both technological demands and educational needs, ensuring a comprehensive development of skills without excessive physical or psychological pressure. The target audience includes educators and trainers in the field of chess education.
