| Sumario: | This doctoral thesis by Luis Bertot Ortega focuses on the theoretical and practical preparation of chess openings during the basic training of young Cuban chess players, particularly in the age group of 11-12 years. The research identifies limitations in the current methodologies used by chess instructors and players, highlighting a need for an integrative and systemic approach to improve opening preparation.
