Sumario: | This doctoral thesis by Graciela Nápoles Quiñones focuses on the evaluation of initial research training for students in the Mathematics-Physics program at the University of Pedagogical Sciences 'Frank País García' in Santiago de Cuba. The work addresses the fundamental contradiction between the logic of initial investigative training and the fragmented evaluation processes currently in place. The thesis aims to develop a pedagogical strategy supported by a model designed to enhance students' investigative skills within this academic program. It presents theoretical foundations for evaluation and proposes a strategy tailored to the students' educational conditions. The thesis employs scientific observation, surveys, interviews, and triangulation to validate the effectiveness of the proposed pedagogical model and strategy, demonstrating its contribution to improving research training.
