Sumario: | This doctoral thesis by Odalys Boys Lam explores strategies to improve reading comprehension at the first level in adults with static encephalopathy at the International Center for Neurological Restoration (CIREN) in Cuba. The research aims to propose a pedagogical strategy that enhances reading comprehension skills in adults with neurological disabilities, grounded in a cultural-historical approach. The study is structured in four stages: diagnosis, execution, evaluation, and methodological preparation of special educators. It emphasizes restorative learning and family orientation to improve the quality of life for affected adults. The strategy's effectiveness was validated through specialist consultations and pre-experimental studies, highlighting its innovative and applicable nature. The intended audience includes educators, caregivers, and specialists working with adults suffering from neurological impairments.
