Sumario:This presentation highlights the evolution of racism and how it is currently expressed in the new digital age. The authors present their research on how racism has shown up on Twitter during specific historical events of police brutality, such as the Michael Brown case. The authors review the implications in working with clients who are recipients of hateful and threatening remarks and how they can build their own platform for Social Justice activism and outreach.
