Sumario:Emma is interviewed by the same clinician who saw her a year ago when she was still “in the game” / sexually trafficked. No longer working on the street, Emma is being treated for an addiction to sleeping pills and pain killers that were given to her when she was working. Emma describes feeling depressed since she was “thrown out” by her trafficker but is evasive when asked if she has any thoughts of harming herself or killing herself. With further questioning, Emma admits to feeling suicidal but changes the subject to the tattoo on her arm that her trafficker, Ray, forced her to get. She expresses thoughts of hopelessness and does not have a support system. She reports no change in her sleeping and an increase in her food intake because her eating is no longer being restricted by her trafficker. Emma does have nightmares but is not ready to discuss them.
