Sumario:Natalie starts the session visibly depressed and reports that she is feeling tired. She denies having suicidal thoughts and intent but confirms a desire to “escape” her distress. The provider and Natalie collaboratively create a suicide safety plan together, including identifying her “warning signs”, internal coping mechanisms, external coping mechanisms, people who may provide support, and who to contact in the case of an emergency. After completing the safety plan, the provider encourages Natalie to always keep the safety plan handy and to utilize it when needed.
