Sumario: | This study assesses the contribution of social software to reduce communication-based innovation barriers. Subject of the examination were global product development projects of a multinational company. By performing a social network analysis and a survey-based inquiry no evidence was found social software could reduce innovation barriers. An empirical investigation exposed a lack of functional fit and diffusion of the social software. |
