Sumario: | It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 3rd Multimodal Sentiment Analysis Challenge and Workshop (MuSe 2022), held in conjunction with the ACM Multimedia 2022 in Lisbon, Portugal. In its third iteration, MuSe continues to foster new developments in the broad area of multimodal sentiment and emotion recognition, this year by calling for participation in three subchallenges: humour recognition in press conference recordings, multi-class emotion regression for usergenerated emotional reaction videos and dimensional emotion recognition in a stress-inducing setting. The MuSe challenge and workshop is intended to attract researchers from different communities such as the audio-visual emotion recognition community, the sentiment analysis community and the health informatics community. The challenge provides the opportunity to investigate approaches to modelling affect in multimedia content under well-defined and strictly comparable conditions. Besides, the workshop welcomed papers addressing related topics without participating in the challenge. Overall, 41 academic teams from 31 different institutions and 16 countries registered for participation in the challenge. 16 of them actually submitted predictions for at least one of the subchallenges. In each subchallenge, the official baseline was surpassed. 14 papers, 10 of which described systems used in the challenge were accepted following a double-blind reviewing process.
