| Sumario: | ISMSI18 was organized by India International Congress on Computational Intelligence (IICCI) & was held in Phuket, Thailand during March 24-25, 2018. The proceedings contains a selected subset of research findings of scientists belonging to an array of nations from continents of Asia, Africa, Europe, Middle East & North America. One of the annual international events of IICCI, ISMSI18 is expected to spur innovations in the constantly evolving areas of metaheuristics & swarm intelligence along with deepening collaborative investigations with a range of countries on these areas. The focus had been on bringing the scientists from different corners of the world to a platform to discuss & deliberate issues, opportunities, challenges & findings of metaheuristics & swarm intelligence as well as the effect of these on progress of development of intelligent systems.
