Sumario:Welcome to Shanghai, home of the ACM Turing Award Celebration Conference China (ACM TURC 2018). Last year, the first time we held such a prestigious event ACM TURC 2017 in China. ACM TURC 2017 had more than 1200 attendees and was a great success. We believe this year's ACM TURC will continue last year's success and even surpass it. ACM TURC 2018 features nine concurrent symposiums organized by ACM SIGCOMM China, SIGBIO China, SIGMOBILE China, SIGMOD China, SIGOPS China, SIGSAC China, SIGCSE China, SIGAl China and SIGMM China, respectively, one panel session, one industry forum, one poster session, one young star forum, and multiple student activities. We are extremely fortunate to once again have outstanding keynote speakers: Raj Reddy, ACM Turing Award Laureate, Carnegie Mellon University; Vinton Cerf, ACM Turing Award Laureate, Google; Leslie Valiant, ACM Turing Award Laureate, Harvard University; Michael I. Jordan, University of California, Berkeley; Xiao'ou Tang, Chinese University of Hong Kong; Haifeng Wang, Baidu Inc.; Hua Su, Kuaishou Inc.; Xiansheng Hua, Alibaba Group; Leo Zhu, YITU Technology; Yu Hu, iFLYTEK; Jieping Ye, DiDi Chuxing Inc., who will share their views on the current opportunities and challenges within both industry and academia.
