Description
Summary:Major investigation by architect Margarita Martínez del Sobral y Campa in what represents the outcome of a 3-year long research project on astronomic geometry, more concisely in the precise numeric relationship of repeated digits in the design and construction of pyramids and monuments in Mesoamerica. Dr. Martinez analyses and proves a numeric methodology that is present in a persisting way in Pre-Hispanic constructions and monuments, including its astronomical components, as it is in the celebrated Tonalámatl or horoscope calendar as well as in the designs of the monumental Olmeca heads. The book was awarded in 2010 the prize CANIEM al Arte Editorial, in the category of Científicos y técnicos en general.
