| Sumario: | The book consists of two clearly defined parts: one dedicated to textbooks and the other to study plans. The first deals with the use liberals made of manuals to achieve the unity they so longed for: they established a system of book lists that the government approved and that was in force throughout much of the 19th century. The study of the system, the publication of the lists and the reconstruction of the school library constitute occupy the pages of this part. In the second, the legal curricula that existed in the 19th and 20th centuries are edited, their evolution is analyzed and a typology that allows their understanding is tested. |
