| Sumario: | This study by professor Marcelo Germano, originally presented as a doctoral thesis with the Graduate Program in Education at the Federal University of Paraíba under the title "Popularization of Science and Technology: a discourse at the interface between a new science and a new common sense ", seeks, radically and vigorously, to rescue the role of popular knowledge in the communication process of science and technology. The author defends the exercise of dialogue in human communication, not so much so that scientists and the public understand each other, but so that everyone has a minimally equivalent perception of the benefits and risks of science and technology for civilization. |
