Sumario:This book is a contribution to the study of the unarmed left during the last Argentine dictatorship (1976-1983). The analysis of the Socialist Workers Party-Movement to Socialism (PST-MAS) allows recognizing the party's speeches and organizational forms against three central axes: the establishment of the dictatorship and the subsequent prohibition and dissolution of the Peronist and Marxist left , the consequences of the repression based on the device of the Clandestine Detention Centers and the process of political opening that followed the defeat in the Falkland Islands. The pages of this work analyze the organizational forms adopted by a large part of the seventies-based left in a repertoire of practices that oscillated between “legality” and “clandestinity”. In this way, the transformations of the perceptions and initiatives of the PST-MAS are addressed in the face of the problem of repression, accounting for the passage from the "revolutionary paradigm" to the ethical-political framework of Human Rights. Finally, the book gives an account of the changes that took place in the political practices of the organization in the context of the announcement of the electoral opening (1982-1983) and analyzes the new political proposal of the Movement to Socialism.
