Description
Summary:The new Genetic Diagnostics Act of July 31, 2009 raises important questions in the area of conflict between divergent perspectives, especially in the dialogue between human genetics and law. about the organization of the genetic counseling, the tasks of the newly created genetic diagnosis commission or regarding the prenatal genetic diagnosis. At the same time, the focus is on the classic medical law aspects of medical information and consent as well as data protection issues. This multifaceted spectrum of questions was the subject of a Göttingen workshop on medical law in November 2010, jointly organized by the Institute for Human Genetics (Faculty of Medicine) and the Center for Medical Law (Faculty of Law). The contributions and results of this conference are made available to the interested public in this volume.
