Sumario: | Mrs. Collins currently takes prescription benzodiazepine Xanax for anxiety and to help her sleep and in no way feels she is abusing her medication. Upon further questioning, we learn that Mrs. Collins has been modifying her dose of 1 mg twice a day when she feels that the prescribed dose is insufficient. Though she describes an incident in which she took her medication and fell asleep when she was supposed to be babysitting her grandchildren, Mrs. Collins does not believe her current medication use to be a problem. Mrs. Collins is now working part time as she was previously fired from her last job. Mrs. Collins is concerned that she’s been having some memory impairment and difficulty concentrating but minimizes the symptoms as the result of forgetting to eat. |
