Description
Summary:In this video, the clinician explores the recurrent nature of Nathan’s depression during the summer months. Nathan shares with the clinician that his younger sister died while he was babysitting. Nathan, who was a junior in high school, was making lunch for his sister when she drowned in their backyard pool. After the tragedy, Nathan’s parents divorced. Nathan carries considerable guilt over both his sister’s death and the dissolution of his family. Nathan does not have issues around water or dream about the incident but has thoughts of suicide. Nathan wants to die, has a plan to commit suicide, and does not feel there is anything that would prevent him from following through with his plan.
