“…Plazas Vega y Andrea Amatucci, versan, en su orden, sobre el pensamiento filosófico y ético de Aristóteles, el gran referente del Aquinate, el pensamiento político y jurídico del tomismo, en general, y su proyección en el derecho tributario.De esta manera se pretende ofrecer a los lectores una visión global del pensamiento ético de Aristóteles y su proyección en la obra de Santo Tomás, como contexto para abordar los aspectos tributarios de su discurso.En la primera parte se abordan los célebres aportes del de Estagira a la ética y sus puntos de vista sobre temas tan relevantes y de tanta influencia en el Angellico, como los de la justicia y la equidad, así como sus aproximaciones a la cuestión económica; en la segunda, se hace especial énfasis, a partir de la obra de Santo Tomás, en la teoría de la ley, la teoría de la justicia y la teoría de la causa; y en la tercera, como claro corolario de lo expuesto en las dos primeras partes, se detiene el texto en la fundamentación filosófico-tomista del principio tributario de capacidad contributiva.Todo lo cual es muy pertinente en los tiempos actuales en los que la preocupación legal, doctrinaria y jurisprudencial por el principio fundamental de justicia es una constante en los regímenes de democracia liberal.La novedad de esta segunda edición se concreta, en esencia, en los comentarios de Juan Rafael Bravo Arteaga acerca de Aristóteles de Estagira, de cuyas luminosas ideas se nutrió Santo Tomás para revolucionar el discurso cristiano y católico con esa admirable concurrencia de razón y fe a que con tanta frecuencia se alude en los textos de historia de la filosofía para describir el tránsito del agustinismo platónico al tomismo aristotélico…”
