| Summary: | Introducción: Es importante conocer las características del paciente infantil, las patologías más frecuentes y las que suponen un mayor reto, así como la diversidad de materiales y técnicas que pueden aportar soluciones cuando las condiciones no son las más favorables. Actualmente existe un aumento del interés por el FDP como agente terapéutico dental. Objetivo: Evaluar los conocimientos actuales acerca del FDP en niños, tanto de sus aplicaciones preventivas como terapéuticas. Material y métodos: Se realizó una búsqueda bibliográfica. Resultados: Se obtuvieron 19 artículos relacionados. Conclusión: El FDP presenta propiedades preventivas y terapéuticas aplicables a niños. El FDP puede aportar soluciones ante casos complejos. Abstract: Introduction: It is important to familiarise oneself with the child patients characteristics, their most common pathologies and those which present the most significant challenges and with the diversity of materials and techniques which can provide solutions in the least favourable of conditions. Currently, there is increasingly more interest being shown in SDF as a therapeutic dental agent. Objective: Evaluation of existing knowledge of both the preventive and therapeutic application of SDF in children. Material and methods: Bibliographic research. Results: 19 articles related were obtained. Conclusion: The SDF presents preventive and therapeutic properties applicable to children. SDF is an agent which can provide solutions in the event of having to deal with complex cases. |
