Descripción
Sumario:The Europeanisation of National Immigration Policies offers a comprehensive empirical assessment of the Europeanization of national immigration policies. The authors argue that the impact of European integration has changed national migration policies and the political process of migration policy-making in member states and states bordering the European Union. For example EU integration has led to the strengthening of the executive and the weakening of the parliament in the national configuration of power. Also, the externalisation of migration policy includes the shift of migration control from the national border to safe third countries or to asylum processing centres close to the sending states
