Description
Summary:Finnish cameraman Kari Kemppainen has been filming large predators in Eastern Finland for some 15 years. Bears, wolves, wolverines and lynx have long been persecuted here but all have made a major comeback in recent years as Kari has tirelessly documented. Kariś family herded reindeer and he was always told that the only good predators were dead ones, but Kari believed their threat was exaggerated and learnt to hunt predators with a lens not a gun. His remarkable wild footage of bears fighting and mating, of wolverine family life and of the return of the wolves to Finland from Russia has shed much new light on these powerful but shy creatures.
