Sumario: | Following the works and editions of these canons wrongly attributed to the great St. Athanasius of Alexandria, made a century away by Riedel and Crum (1904) and recently by monk Athanasius of St. Macarius (2003), there remained a series of bad resolved or pending questions. We therefore revisit the topic, summarizing the main results achieved and proposing some corrections and additions, mainly concerning the different linguistic and textual versions. We have in mind, in particular, the important domain of patristics, where the research and the updating of data are continually in progress, but for which the access to current research in Arabic and developed in Egypt is hardly evident.
