Description
Summary:We have performed a cost-utility analysis (CUA) of mechanical thrombectomy in addition to standard treatment with thrombolysis compared with thrombolysis alone, in acute large vessel ischemic stroke. Conclusion Our cost-utility analysis indicates that mechanical thrombectomy as additional treatment for patients with ischaemic stroke with occlusion of the big blood vessels, is cost-effective compared with standard treatment alone.
