Sumario:Natalie starts the session visibly upset and reports that she “doesn’t want to be here". She makes cryptic statements about loved ones being better off without her, prompting the provider to ask Natalie if she is having thoughts of killing herself, which Natalie confirms. Natalie also confirms that she has suicidal intent and plan, including engaging in preparatory behaviors. Through direct questioning, it is determined that Natalie is at imminent risk for suicide. The provider transparently reminds Natalie of the limits of confidentiality and informs her that she is going to call 9-1-1 for the purpose of keeping her safe. She asks Natalie to stay on camera while she makes the call.
