Description
Summary:Sofia begins the session distressed after reporting she recently lost the baby in her womb. She is initially hesitant to answer the provider’s questions about how this happened, and eventually reports that her husband pushed her down during an incident of domestic violence, leading to the loss of the baby. As the provider processes this trauma with Sofia, it becomes evident that Sofia is experiencing significant trauma-related guilt wherein she is holding herself fully responsible for what happened. Provider briefly uses Socratic Questioning to assist Sofia in considering the important contextual factors that led to the loss of the baby.
