Description
Summary:Welcome to 2019 ACM SIGSIM Conference on Principles of Advanced Discrete Simulation (SIGSIM-PADS 2019). This year we have a total of 33 paper submissions, including 8 invited paper submissions. The latter include submissions from prominent researchers in diverse modeling and simulation fields. Following the PADS tradition of double-blinded paper reviewing, all papers received rigorous peer reviews. On average, every regular paper submission received five reviews and every invited paper submission received three reviews. Finally, the program committee accepted a total of 15 full papers and 4 short papers. SIGSIM-PADS continues to participate in the ACM Reproducibility Initiative. The authors of 7 papers participated in the Reproducibility Initiative and submitted the results and artifact of the simulation experiments. Evaluation of artifact and results replication was handled by a separate reproducibility committee, chaired by Adelinde M. Uhrmacher and Alessandro Pellegrini. This year, a total of 16 reproducibility badges were requested out of which 12 have been issued by the reproducibility committee.
