| Summary: | The key goal of ICVR 2018 was to bring the academic scientists, engineers, and industry researchers together to exchange and share their expertise, experience and research results, and discuss the challenges and future directions in their specialized areas of research in these fields. Prof. Hong Yan, IEEE & IAPR Fellow, from City University of Hong Kong, Prof. David Zhang, IEEE & IAPR Fellow, from Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Prof. NGAN King Ngi, IEEE & IET Fellow, from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Assoc. Prof. Ray C.C. Cheung, from City University of Hong Kong, Prof. Lih-Shyang Chen, from National Cheng Kung University and Assoc. Prof. Kin Hong Wong, from The Chinese University of Hong Kong delivered keynote and plenary speeches about state of the art research in their areas of expertise. In addition, three parallel sessions are successfully finished with the efforts of all the session chairs and presenters. The academic visit in City University of Hong Kong enriched the conference and deepened the exchange.
