"In our sphere of life" german-speaking immigrants in yucatan and their descendants, 1876-1914

Using comprehensive ethnographic and historical methodologies, it examines how the origins of the migrants affected not only their possibilities of integration into the receiving society, but also how they impacted the opportunities and challenges faced by their descendants for several generations.
