Description
Summary:The path of Indianity in Brazilian literature: shades of figuration makes a journey through Brazilian Literature in search of the image of the Indian in its various shades. Eighteen works are analysed from the perspective of figuration, which defines the presence of the Brazilian native by language and colours it according to the time and the strategies of each author. The route extends from the Letter of Finding, by Pero Vaz de Caminha, to the publication of Maíra (1976), by Darcy Ribeiro. The analyses consider the different ideological and style conventions of the various cultural movements, which promote the dialogue between Indianism and Brazilian literary indigenism.
