Alice Vansteenberghe

Alice Vansteenberghe Alice Vansteenberghe (née Joly; 18 February 1908 – 9 February 1991) was a physician and a member of the French Resistance in World War II. In 1944, she was captured and tortured by the so-called "Butcher of Lyon", Klaus Barbie. She later testified against him at his trial for crimes against humanity. Provided by Wikipedia
