Richard Baxell

Richard Baxell is a British historian and the author of three books on the Spanish Civil War. Between 2015 and 2018 he was the Chair of the International Brigade Memorial Trust. Having studied history as an undergraduate at Middlesex University from 1991-1994 and as a post-graduate at the Institute of Historical Research in 1996, he received his PhD from the London School of Economics in 2002 with a thesis titled ''The British Battalion of the International Brigades in the Spanish Civil War, 1936–1939''.
